The Strangers centers on couple Kristen McKay (Liv Tyler) and James Hoyt (Scott Speedman). The couple return from a wedding reception one night to their remote vacation home, and plan on spending a romantic night in - rose petals, candles, a fire. But their relaxed night at home becomes a living nightmare when they receive a strange knock on the door in the mid-hours of the night. What ensues is a home invasion by three violent masked strangers, who begin to terrorize the innocent couple throughout the night.
